Outdoor clothing Shops The Lake District, particularly Ambleside, Grasmere and Keswick is famed for a very large selection of these shops.  There are at least 19 such shops specialising in selling outdoor gear in Ambleside alone and Grasmere has several more.

Really brilliant and imaginative food and they can give you food for reheating or organise a chef for you as an alternative. Prices as per person - Brunch menu approx £15, savoury dishes approx from £8, Mediterranean style buffet £18 to £22  or a chef at £30 per hour.  Prices quoted as of 2006.  Very well thought of & respectable firm.
