Whole Hostel Use School/Youth Groups Prices Cancellations
Walking, Rambling, Sporting Clubs, Reunions, Family celebrations, Schools etc;
Groups booking 12 or more beds can have a kitchen reserved for themselves complete with all the necessary cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery.
Full central heating and hot water are provided in the price, except for the coin operated laundry and sauna. Please note the heating and hot water comes on at around 6.30 to 10am and 4 to 10.30pm. Should you require heating during the day please enquire as we make a charge for extra heating.
Local information
We are here on site most of the time. Do not hesitate to ask for information about local facilities ,attractions, shopping etc. If you would like help or advice about walk plans or the suitability of walks please ask the proprietor. Remember we wish you to make the most of your time here and a little local information can often save wasted time or journeys.
We thoroughly enjoy having well behaved children around the farm and hostel. We are happy to have children stay but it must be noted that the hostel is only available to school/youth groups on a pre booked basis. We ask that adults in charge of such groups read fully the Terms & Conditions before booking to ensure that visiting children understand what is expected of them while staying here.
Risk assessment and Pre visit inspections
We welcome group representatives, group leaders and teachers who may wish to have a site visit or carry out a risk assessment, please telephone first to check convenience. Please note the hostel holds a fire certificate and carries full public liability insurance.

Hostel Tariffs for 2007
Whole Hostel bookings 2007
Whole hostel booking means 24 beds = 24 people maximum.
Any single nights from Sunday to Thursday are £375 per single night.
£397 in 2008
2 - 3 nights from Sunday to Thursday is £350 per night, (excluding weekends).
£375 in 2008
4 nights + (excluding weekends) is £330 per night. £350 in 2008
Bank holidays Christmas, and Easter is a minimum of 3 nights and New Year is 4
nights. Prices for Christmas and New Year is £431 (£460 in 2008) per night whilst bank holidays
are £396 per night, £420 in 2008.
Please note we are already booked out for this year for Easter, Christmas and New Year2007/8 and all the bank holidays for 2007, but please do make enquires for subsequent years. (New Year 2009 is unlikely to be available for personal reasons).
Large part hostel groups
We usually only accept part hostel bookings at weekends during our quiet times as the hostel is reserved for full hostel groups at the weekends (Friday and Saturday nights) however do please ring us to check current availability and prices.
If you have to cancel your booking, enlarge /reduce the number of beds booked, please inform us as soon as possible. Please note! You will be still charged for the original number of beds booked if we do not receive information at least 15 days before the take up date.
Cancellations and Refunds!
Whole and part hostel bookings
If you cancel your booking more than 8 weeks before your arrival, we reserve the right to retain any deposit paid (£200 for whole hostel) to cover our administration charges and loss of business if we fail to re let fully. If you cancel within 8 weeks of arrival, the following cancellation charges will be made:
56-29 days 50 %
28-15days 90 %
No notice or less than 14 days notice 100 % (of the full reservation period).
In all cases we do try to re let beds for you if we can to help and providing we
are not out of pocket we do reimburse wherever possible as we have done in the
past in difficult circumstances.
Cancellations of individuals and small groups (6 people or less)
You must give 48 hours clear notice from 12 noon of day of booking. If more than 48 hours notice then no charge will be taken. Less than 48 hours we reserve the right to charge the credit card held on file for the full amount. Please note that if you arrive with a reduced number in your party and not previously advised us 48 hours before then the full cost of your booking will still apply.
